Tonight i bowled a 131, 157, 188!

Don't you just hate it when you've bowled several strikes in a row and you are trying not to think about it and someone on your team or the opposing team makes a loud comment about how good your game is going and then all the people on the lanes start watching you!?! that is so nerve racking for me. Seems like i bowled a gutter ball next time it was my turn...needless to say I didn't get my 200 game but ended up with 188 ....

Oh well we have 3 more weeks left of league. 

100, 131, 121 for a 352 scratch score not a great night but my average is still on the up swing !

Didn't practice last week but will do so this week maybe I'll get my 200 game on friday!

Ever have one of those bittersweet days? Well last Friday was definitely one of those days for me!!

After 20yrs of working for AT&T they laid me off! I didn't see it coming either as I received an award earlier in the week for processing more work than any of my peers this summer after the last round of lay-off's and my reward was to be laid off.

But you know there is a silver lining an everything ! I was so angry at my leadership team for smiling at me earlier in the week and even Friday as they were laying me off that when I looked at those 10 pins I kept seeing those smiling lying faces. Now you know every time I rolled the ball I was imagining that those 10 pins where the leadership teams front teeth . You guessed it I was trying so hard to knock their teeth out that I bowled my 1^st eagle during league play and I bowled 3 games over 130 in the same night!! I have yet to do this in league...done it in a tournament and on weekend play but this is the 1^st for league.

So there really is a silver lining in every cloud the back stabbing leadership of AT&T spurned me on to bowl a 130, 134 & 168 and my 1^st league Eagle!! Maybe the will piss me off so much next Friday that I can get that coveted 200 game !

Ok so I've been bowled over with bowling!

After being banished to life in West Sacramento, where the only social life is bowling. I have a renewed passion for the sport. All though my scores are not what they were when I bowled in the Bay Area I keep at it because there is nothing else to do here. With that said I need a goal and right now I'm thinking I should make it to bowl in the USBC Open next year . My dilemma is this I'm sure I will improve before the winter league season ends in January but I doubt that I will have a 200 or even a 150 avg. by then. So tell me what do you think, should I do it? Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving Weekend!

Friday night I bowled in the Ole School Bowling league as always. Now I was hoping that after eating Turkey all day on Thursday that I would finally bowl that elusive Turkey during a league game as well as maybe get closer to my 1^st 200 game.

Yeah well there's always Christmas. LOL I bowled decent enough on Friday I had 114,117 and 125 respectively there wasn't a high scoring game at all Friday night but what I did do was consistently stay in the 100's. So I'm ok with that most weeks I'll bowl like a 153, 125 and an 89. I've even been so bad as bowling a 189,117 64...so even though this weekend I did not get the coveted Turkey or the dream 250 game I did move one step closer to a consistent game.

Stay blessed and remember the reason for the "Holiday Season".
